Frances in the Rose Garden

I love cats and I love roses. I have cats and find that they have lots of patience. They can sit in front of a mouse hole for hours waiting for their prey to appear. They sleep for many hours during the day, but are always there when you need them. This bra is dedicated to the women who exercise lots of patience. They are the women who go to the local imaging center yearly for their mammograms, and then get to return every six months for an ultrasound of either one or both breasts, with an additional mammogram. We do this because we have to… they are watching something. We sit in the waiting room and wait for our name to be called, have the mammogram done and go back and sit to wait for our name to be called to have an ultrasound. We go back to our seat and wait until the radiologist has reviewed our films and ultrasound and hope with everything inside of us that we are told to come back in six months, or even better, in a year. Our pulses are rapid and breathing is fast. We don’t want to hear anything else. I am one of these women. I make sure to smell the roses.
