Siena Hope
Siena Hope is inspired by my beautiful daughter whose name is Siena Hope. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 29 years old and was 26 weeks pregnant. She was my strength and gave me the courage to fight. I received surgery and three rounds of chemo while I was pregnant. On November 12th, 2013, my husband and I were blessed with a gorgeous, healthy baby girl. She continued to push me towards the finish line as I underwent more surgery, more chemo and radiation.
Siena’s face is in the center of the bra because she is the center of my world; she is my hero. The footprints, flowers, teddy bears, hearts, pacifiers and diaper pins are all reminders of why I continue to fight. The words “love” and “hope” are two words that have gotten me this far.
My hope is that this bra will spread awareness of breast cancer for young women everywhere. This is something I never thought would happen to me, especially at 29 years old while I was pregnant with my first child. This emotional rollercoaster caused by cancer has changed me, but for the better. I am thankful to be here and am enjoying living every moment to the fullest.
A special thank you to Pat Stork who helped me create this bra. This would not have been possible without her creativity!
