The Creative Cups fundraiser combines my love of art and helping others. This cause seemed a perfect way for me to participate and help people struggling with breast cancer and its devastating effects physically and psychologically, having had neighbors and colleagues battle and survive breast cancer, and recently losing a close family friend, Jo Jo, to cancer. You always wish that there was more you could do to help. Jo Jo embodied life, fashion, and fun!

The inspiration for the Creative Cups design was something Cher might have worn in the 1970s or even today! I love Bob Mackie’s designs and tried to create wearable art, with a flair for fun and fantasy! The bra is constructed of feathers, studs, suede/leather, corseted fabric and beading. It looks like something Cher would have worn with a pair of jeans to Studio 54 or a celebrity would wear today!

As a first time participant in Creative Cups it has been a pleasure making new friends, sharing in the creative process and spreading the news to help promote the fundraiser. I am looking forward to seeing all the original works of art and raising funds for a valuable cause.
