Resembling the “solitude series,” a series of paintings I started about six years ago, this piece continues to depict innately unifying struggle with isolation.

People who deal with cancer and face it alone often times feel unworthy, depressed and isolated. They have not shared their diagnosis with anybody, not a friend, not even a family member or they simply do not have anybody in their lives to share it with. While creating this bra, my thoughts often wandered towards them–living among so many but living alone, having no one to cry to and no one to lean on.
