I saw Krissy for the first time at the beginning of my final semester at Adelphi. I was in the PAC, waiting outside of the classrooms on the couches for one of my music courses with the usual Music Department crew. It's a pretty tight-knit community in the PAC, so you tend to at least know every single person by face and name (if not personally) by the time you graduate. Seeing Krissy politely mixed into that group on the couches bewildered me, as I asked myself, "Who is THAT and why have I never seen her before?" Something drew me to her, and I knew that I needed to get to know her. So that is exactly what I did.
I would later learn that she was a music minor who started at Adelphi one year after me. Yet somehow, it took three years for our paths to cross. But that's fine, because we've spent just about every single day together over the past two and a half years to make up for it! To call Krissy my "other half" would be an understatement; we live, breathe, and think as a single entity. Adelphi can be full of surprises, even down to your very last days there.
